European Union Charter of Fundamental Rights specifies that every person has the right to asylum (Article 18).
Asylum in the Republic of Lithuania. European Union Directive imperatively declares: Member States shall allow applicants for asylum the opportunity, at their own cost, to consult in an effective manner a legal adviser or other counsellor
